Hey You Mother…..

A friend sent me this Mother’s Day greeting: “To the World You are a Mother. But to your Family You are the World!” I don’t know who wrote it, but I believe the sentiment. We all have had a mother and chances are this person shaped our lives more than any one else. For many of us, our mothers were our first loving and significant relationship. Our mothers influenced us,….

Have you had your ‘Check Up From the Neck Up*’?

The events over the last few weeks highlight how fragile life is. Anyone of us could have been walking on that sidewalk on that fateful day; we just never know what life has in store for us. Could There Have Been A Different Outcome?

Case Example 1:   John,  was a 93 year old, well -to -do gentleman, never married  and had no known family.   He lived in his own home in a nice part of the city.  His next door neighbor had kept an eye out and assisted him over the years by shoveling his walkway and offering to get groceries for him on an occasional basis.  John had a ‘Friend’ who he met….
